Want to dry clothes faster in winter? Save time with these easy-to-follow tips.
3 Easy Hacks to Dry Clothes Faster in Winter
1. Set your dryer to Permanent Press This is the best setting to use as it removes wrinkles by washing clothes in warm water. It softens the creases and the slow spinning helps to prevent new ones. Don’t pack clothes in. They need to float freely or they’ll wrinkle.
2. Don’t Wait for the Dryer To Ding! Take your dress shirts, trousers and school uniforms out of the dryer 10 minutes before the cycle is done, when the clothes are still slightly damp. You can skip the ironing and just give your clothes a good shake and hang them up, pressing with your hands.
3. Clean the machine If you notice that it takes more than an hour to dry a load then your dryer is definitely clogged. Make sure to scrub the lint filter regularly with a small toothbrush and a bit of detergent. Once a year, detach the hose from the back of the dryer and snake a long brush through to push out lint.
